Travel: Carolinas – Charlotte & Charleston

My boo and I decided to take a few days to get away and visit my sister in Charlotte, North Carolina, and then sneak on down to South Carolina for a few more days in Charleston.  We visited with my nephew Lucas and ate a ton of cookies and played at the park.  The next day we stopped at this giant sculpture of a head that looked exactly like my twin Taylor.  It was rated as the 16th must-see attraction in Charlotte according to Trip Advisor, so naturally we had to make a visit.  After that, we went to the Wing Haven Garden and Bird Sanctuary in a very lovely old part of town.

The next few days were spent in Charleston where I mostly took film photos, but I did get a few digital.  We went to a state park at dawn and got to enjoy a very warm and peaceful morning on the water.  The rest of the trip was spent eating, drinking and touring around.  All in all, must needed respite from the dreary, never-ending winter in Virginia.  In between digital and film photographing, I put together a ridiculous little video at the bottom.
