Maternity: Carolyn and Her Twins

This photo session got me very excited because it gave me the opportunity to operate outside of the typical maternity portrait style.  We could have gone the traditional route, but Carolyn is one cool mama.  And she was game for anything.  I wanted to do something in the city, something different and slightly abstract.  After some research, I settled on the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.  Despite the fact that all of the modern art in the East Building is gone for the next three years (due to the 2011 earthquake), it still ended up being the perfect backdrop for capturing some unique photos.  The shapes of the exhibits and buildings compliment the beautiful and awesome shape a pregnant woman carries.

I’m very excited to meet Baby Girl and Baby Boy this spring!
